So after a looong night Mariah finally decided to show us the babies. She gave us 8 total, the number we were expecting. There are 4 boys and 4 girls. They are almost the same size(7 oz), and are vigorous and strong. She is doing an excellent job taking care of them and we dont anticipate any problems.

It’s going to be a long night. whelpings often seem to happen at night, and Mariah is going to be true to form. We have migrated to iowa state university small animal clinic, they have everything here. puppies have been ultrasounded and heartbeats are strong. we are hear until morning.
